"With Planacy, We’ve Taken Back Control"

Rejlers was previously dependent on external consultants to manage its budgeting and forecasting process. But after implementing Planacy, they’ve taken back control – today, they can make adjustments and handle the entire process internally.

“With Planacy, we own our financial processes ourselves. It has become smoother, cheaper, and more efficient – and we no longer have to rely on consultants the way we used to,” says Nicklas Palmqvist, Group Business Controller and Head of M&A at Rejlers.

 

Previously, Rejlers used a system called Insikt. However, as the company grew, so did the demands on the solution, and eventually, it became too complicated. The processes were time-consuming, and the system required expensive customisations.

“The system was far too complex, and it was impossible to make adjustments on our own. We simply outgrew it. It was unsustainable to keep working that way,” Palmqvist explains.

The goal was to create a flexible and user-friendly planning process that Rejlers could largely maintain themselves, and that all offices in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and at the group level could use according to their own preferences. It was also crucial that the new solution could integrate with both Power BI and the company’s own data warehouse – to seamlessly import and export data.

“We wanted something that worked for all the countries we operate in, but without forcing everyone to work in the same template. It was also very important that we could manage the system ourselves. Simplicity is key – with Planacy, we can easily adapt and update the process on our own. The system has made our work much more efficient”
